The directorial debut of Raj Mehta and Co-produced movie by Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Home, Good Newwz, has hit the screens on Friday, 27th December 2019. Perfect timing for a successful hit!
With the last film of 2019, Akshay Kumar and his team are all set to carve a humorous picture towards the year-end. Though Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, has featured in comic roles previously, the freshness of Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh in comic characters is a must-watch.
The plot of the story is an attempt on the most silent yet necessary topic – in vitro fertilization. It is a hilarious movie based on the comedy of errors for two couples with the same surname who undergo in vitro fertilization but find out the exchange of sperms has occurred. While the world is coming up with biopics of politicians, crime thrillers, superhero franchises, kudos for selecting, this movie is an off-trend light-hearted topic!
In vitro, fertilization is an excluded topic which needed to see the light of the day. After films like Vicky Donor, Shubh Mangal Savdhan, and Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan, the mentality and perception of the crowd have positively changed. The film highlights the ordeal of a city couple who face a hard time to bear a baby and opt for in vitro fertilization. The situation is dealt with with great optimism and light humor not to hurt the feelings and sentiments of couples undergoing this method.
The casting is correctly done as Akshay Kumar opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan (after a decade) and Kiara Advani with Diljit Dosanjh. The chemistry of the actors compliments each other. Akshay Kumar is mostly appreciated for his comic timings. It is a visual treat to see him back in comedy after a zest portrayal of the patriotic role.
From the first look of the movie, it was evident this movie will crackle all your funny bones at the same time. The trailer of the film had received quite a great response from fans to Bollywood celebs.
When the couple Mr. and Mrs. Batras find about the goof-up, the film revolves around their discovery and how they handle this situation.
When all one wants is one own’s flesh and blood, who will get the rights of the baby and how they are going to deal with this, is brilliantly visualized and enacted.
The costumes of all the actors are designed as per their characters. There is no Goof-up in this. Kareena Kapoor Khan is, as usual, the best portrayal of the character along with perfectly designed minute details.
The best part of the movie is, it’s being released on the last weekend of the year. It will surely earn a slow but defined box office collection.
