pledged to donate 500 crores to fight against the crisis. The Tata Trusts, Tata Sons and the Tata group companies continue to make their contribution of time and money to the nation. Ratan Tata made this announcement on Twitter this evening. He made it clear that this situation is of grave concern, and it needed immediate action.
He committed that the funds will be used to provide:
Ø Personal protective equipment for the medical personnel on the frontlines
Ø Respiratory systems for treating increasing cases
Ø More testing kits to increase the per capita testing
Ø Modular treatment facilities to the infected patients
Ø Training to the health workers and general public
Ratan Tata said, “In this challenging period, I believe urgent emergency resources need to be deployed to cooperate with the needs of fighting the COVID-19 crisis, which is one of the toughest challenges the human the race will face.” Time after time, Ratan Tata and many other philanthropists have come forward and participated they can for the betterment of society.
